Nissi’s new album is one aural journey that captures Nissi’s blend of Afro-jazz, R&B, and grit. Each song is a chapter in Nissi’s book, exploring themes of love, empowerment, and self-discovery. Heavy, the first track is really heavy on friendship and loyalty. Higher, the second, urges us to always celebrate our triumphs and victories. Overthinking, the third, provides a safe haven where you can break free from your overwhelming thoughts. Nobody follows Higher, giving us a chapter of fierce romance. Thunder, the fifth track, is the one that shakes the room, it depicts letting your greatness roar intensely and unapologetically. Gloves is the last but definitely not the least, as it shows us the rawness of undeserved love. This EP, magically pieced together, is at the moment, Nissi’s most prized achievement and we are happy she is happy.
Pulling a stop at her friend’s house, with all the pent-up excitement, ready to party in celebration of her recently released album, Nissi makes a statement with a knitted mini pink masterpiece, and it’s all shades of chiic classiness. The halter-necked, sleeveless, pink gown, hugging her in all the right places, featured a deep plunging round neckline adding a touch of sensuality. Feathers were also placed delicately at the tip of the mini gown and in one word, I say, exquisite!
To complement the pink gown, she carried an off-white leather bag with intricate cut-out detailing running throughout its design. Opting for a sleek and polished look, her hair was gelled back with the tips braided in one whole. Her nails were painted in a daring black, meticulously matching her dark eye-shadows, adding that mystical allure to the whole fit. Her blocked-gem necklace coupled with the matching earrings also elevated the whole soft baby girl look.
It can be seen that Nissi is asking, “What is your favorite track on Unboxed”. Mine is Gloves, what’s yours?
