1. Write Down Your Achievements
Get yourself an achievement board and start writing things you’re proud of in your life for having accomplished, even little things matter. Keep that board in your personal space and add to it new things you achieved. This board will help you on your journey to achieving self-confidence as any time you feel down all you have to do is look up your board and see how amazing you’re becoming.
2. Acknowledge Your Self-Doubts
Always know your fears and face them. As much as always writing down your achievements is good also learn to embrace your doubts about yourself. Face them and look for ways to overcome them. For example, having stage fright? Talk to friends, families, and counselors and try out methods to overcome it. Once you make your first speech on that stage, you have just increased your self-confidence by a high percentage.
3. Set Some Self-Confidence Goals
Write down goals, that you know have been giving you trouble to achieve. Things your brain and maybe others have been telling you that you can’t attain, can be as small as a chore or writing an essay. Write down the steps to achieving it, even with mistakes don’t give up, forge ahead and make it happen. Tick it off once accomplished on your achievement board.
4. Don’t Be Too Harsh on Yourself
Beating yourself up about your mistakes and failures, wouldn’t help you be better. Negative comments about yourself will even have a very negative effect on your confidence. So best practice will be to speak positively to yourself, laugh at your mistakes, pick yourself up and try again and remember even the seemingly perfect ones are not.
5. You’re Are Unique
Stop the comparison! Everyone’s circumstances and issues are different, everybody has a race to run. It is what you do with your “issues” that matters. Take care of your mental and physical space, sleep well, eat well, exercise, practice self-care and train your mind to the fact that you are a special person, different from the rest and though your challenges may try to overwhelm you, do your best not to let it.
