The armpit is one of the principal spots for irritation. It might not be detected easily and can be totally unbearable in some cases. Armpit rash can either be bumpy and red or scaly and white. The treatment of the rash is always determined by the cause. Some rashes can last for a few hours while some can stay for days, weeks even months depending on the cause of the rash. In other words, some can be treated by home remedies and then an over-the-counter treatment for severe irritations. For example, irritation caused by hot weather disappears quickly while irritation caused by lifestyle or skin condition lasts longer.
Note: Several of these conditions are caused or irritated by substances that come in contact with your body either often or occasionally. Therefore these are the treatments to stop rash in armpit.
1. Find The Irritant
Identify the irritant and stop using it immediately. This may solve the irritation altogether. It may also solve eczema and flare-ups. Use an over-the-counter anti-itch cream to get rid of irritations.
2. No Matter What Don’t Scratch!!!!
Scratching makes the armpit vulnerable to other infections and can easily escalate a simple irritation to a larger issue. Some will tell you it’s sweet and satisfying when I scratch it not knowing they are the ones aggravating their situation themselves.
3. Relax
I’ll always tell people, “In all circumstances, you find yourself in try and relax, it goes a long way”. Relaxation can also help calm the itching down so you don’t necessarily have to scratch.
4. Ice Cube / Lemon
You can place ice cubes on your armpit. It may help subsidize the itching. You can also slice a lemon and slide it through your armpit. The lemon citric acid might cure the irritation. If irritation lingers after the use of home remedies or a simple over-the-counter treatment please visit a dermatologist ASAP for a check-up and further treatment.
